Bits & bobs

We have managed to do a few wedding related things over the last week or so but they probably don't need a post of their own!

I sent more of the save the date cards out; the only ones left to do and be sent are the ones that I was waiting for their addresses, or ones where I managed to spell the names wrong! A proper post will follow about the save the date cards once they have all been sent. I liked how they turned out and we have had some lovely comments about them too.

We got our honeymoon confirmation and deposit receipt along with booking forms through last week. The forms are to confirm what our Travel Counsellor Helene had already booked for us, so we signed and returned those on Saturday. They came in a travel wallet with luggage tags too which may be useful. We also received a 'have a happy honeymoon' card from Helene on Thursday which was a nice touch. We are now waiting on the official confirmation and invoice from Kuoni which will detail our itinerary.

This morning we went to the service at the church we are getting married in. We managed to have a quick word with the minister who wants us to contact him around mid October to start thinking about what we want for our wedding. If we manage to get the details sorted fairly early we will be able to get the order of service's done in plenty time. We did mention that we would like to get married quite early, 1pm, and he was happy with that and basically said we could have/do whatever we wanted, within reason of course! The minister then gave us one of the flower arrangements from the service to take home with us. They were really lovely arrangements today with hot pink gerberas and roses along with bright green and white flowers that I cant name!

While we were at the church, we also managed to speak to the organist/pianist that we want to play at our service. He was the music teacher at our high school so he does know both me and Graham which is good. He is very good so it will be great if he is free next April! We need to start thinking about my entrance and our exit songs and music to be played while we are signing the register.
