My Life in Transition: "Moms Make it Work"

At the end of last month I wrote a guest post for Julia at My Life in Transition for her " Moms Make it Work " guest blogging series. She had put a call out on Instagram looking for some international mums to take part and as I've followed Julia's blog for ages, I thought it would be a nice series to contribute to. I did write the post quite a while ago so of course there are now some changes that I could also have written about since baby 2 is now on its way. Go and take a look if you have a chance, I hope you enjoy reading and would love to hear your thoughts. There have been loads of other posts from mums in lots of different situations and how they all make it work!

Life Love Laura: "Share your nursery"

I'm over on Life Love Laura today talking about Holden's nursery as part of her " Share your nursery " feature. I hope you enjoy reading and would love to hear your thoughts.

Christmas in November!

After celebrating an early Christmas in October with my family, the 19th of November brought Christmas in November with my fellow Blogging Six girls;  Conversation Pieces , My Spare Thoughts , Daydreams in Lace , This Girl Is... & A Dizzy Girl . I was bridesmaid dress shopping for my best friends wedding in the morning {being pregnant I just spectated while the other two bridesmaids tried the dresses on} then I met the girls at Coco's before we headed down to Mimi's in Leith for lunch, where we were going to swap our secret santa gifts. The rules for the secret santa were a small bought present and something homemade and I think its safe to say we were all quite nervous about handing over our gifts. However, everyone loved what they had been given and what had been made for them so there was no need for the nerves. You can read some of the other posts the girls have written about our secret santa here , here & here . I had Lisa-Marie  so I bought...

Congratulations to the wonderful Zoe from Conversation Pieces who is marrying her other half {as she refers to him} today! I have met Zoe on a number of occasions and have loved following her blog. I was so disappointed to discover I wouldn't be able to attend her wedding, since we are still in Marrakech, but I'm sure the rest of the girls will take lots of photos and make sure to tell me all about it! I cant wait to hear all about it; hope you both have a fabulous day and it is everything you could have wished for!

Christmas Blog Swap 2010

This year {well last year now!} I participated in a Christmas Blog Swap , which was organised by Lisa-Marie from This Girl Is... I was very excited about the idea of a swap and signed up straight away. We had to send a parcel which included a Christmas card, a bought decoration, something baked and finally something festive & handmade. I was paired with the lovely Elizabeth from Rosalilium who was kind enough to wait till I got back from holiday to complete the swap. My parcel {which was decorated with a doilies & lace tape} arrived on Monday 20th December and included chocolate oat cookies, a Christmas candle, homemade aromatherapy bath bombs, two Christmas decorations, an indoor sparkler and a lovely handmade Christmas card. I loved opening my surprise package and cant wait to use the lovely goodies. The cookies have already been eaten and the decorations are on the tree. For my part of the swap I sent Elizabeth a handmade Christmas card, a mickey mouse tree decoration,...

8 months!

8 months today since we got married, this year has flown by! I have had another very busy month with lots of birthdays and my sisters hen weekend which I organised and made some stuff for. We also had another blogger meet up in Glasgow where I met My Spare Thoughts , Adventures of a Dizzy Girl & Conversation Pieces again and also This Girl Is... for the first time which was lovely. I made some more invites for my sister and also did a mock-up on their order of service which is currently in progress as well as helping with a few other wedding bits & pieces. I finally finished my wedding recaps and have started on my honeymoon ones but there is a lot more to come! So if the airport is open again today, we should be on our way to Florida then once we get back I have a Christmas blog swap and then my sisters wedding which I'm so excited about! I will expand in more detail in my future recaps but here are a few facts to keep you going: 1. I was about 20 minutes late! 2. Our flowergirl surprised us by singing during the ceremony. 3. Our godmothers {who are also our aunts} surprised us by giving us a signed bible during the service. 4. I got to wear pink & purple polka dot wellies {only purchased the day before} while me & Graham were trooping through the hotel grounds getting our photos taken. 5. Dad mentioned this blog during his speech & surprised me with a purple & grey striped tea cosy that...
