All of the food was lovely and we easily could have had any of them. However, we do have to choose and we think our choice is going to be:
- Galia Melon, Lemon & Basil Sorbet, Pink Peppercorn & Cointreau Syrup
- Pan-Fried Fillet of Scottish Beef with Banana Shallots, Horseradish Potato Cake, Thyme Jus
- Sticky Toffee Pudding with Toffee Sauce & Vanilla Ice Cream
The syrup with the melon was gorgeous and really unusual and the beef fillet was so soft and tender and not too pink, which should suit everyone. I really could have had either dessert but the mousse would probably be a bit sweet for some.
For the wine we think there are going with the Palena Sauvignon Blanc & Palena Merlot but we are still debating this and may need some help from the red wine drinkers.
Looking forward to having them on the actual day!
Now I'm hungry which is worrying considering it is 11pm. erm what are banana shallots? All looks yummy.
