Today is my first day back at work after my maternity leave. I am back part time, for three days a week, so I still get to spend a couple of days with Holden.
I always intended to take the full year off but I ended up having 13 months in total, including all of my accrued holidays, so it was a bit of a shock to the system having to set an alarm to get up this morning. I had to go and wake Holden up but I managed to get us both ready, drop Holden off with my dad and get to work on time. Hopefully I can manage the same tomorrow and Wednesday when Holden will be going to nursery.
So far I'm getting used to all the systems again and I'm pretty sure that very soon its going to feel like I've never been away.
